FRESH ASPARAGUS WRAPS

ASPARAGUS
An effortless appetizer for holiday entertaining that delivers great taste. Not only are these asparagus wraps full of flavor, they’re also a healthy snack for anytime. Simply prepare the wraps before company arrives, pop them in the oven and then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Preheat oven to 350°

What you’ll need…
1 Package of Phyllo Pastry Sheets
Fresh Asparagus, Cleaned with the Ends Cut
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper
Parmesan Cheese, Finely Grated

Place cleaned asparagus in a rectangular container. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper; shake it up to cover all spears with the oil.
Unroll pastry sheets on a flat surface. Sprinkle sheet with Parmesan cheese, place an asparagus spear on the sheet and roll, leaving just the tip of the asparagus exposed.
Place wrapped asparagus on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the rolled asparagus with a mixture of olive oil and your favorite herbs, like dried basil, oregano or parsley.
Pop into the oven for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.

ASPARAGUSRemove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces.

  3. Yum! How easy is this recipie. I think this is an excellent recipie for a health nut such as myself. It's easy (another quality I love) and super healthy and nutricious. I love tuning in to see which meals you will post on your blog. It has been a pleasure to be in this course with you and I wish you well in your endeavors. Great DB post!
